Welcome!

Our Children's Youth Choir membership consists of all different ages and grade levels, and is open to all children from Grade 3 up through High School. This is a wonderful opportunity for learning about singing, reading music, and liturgical worship through music, while having a lot of fun!

The choir incorporates instruments in its accompaniment. Children are invited to participate in the instrumental ensemble if well studied on such instruments asflute, guitar, violin, celloand/or percussion.

 

Come join us once a week for Rehearsals: September through July - Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. (Church Hall)

The Children's Youth Choir will sing at Mass once a month at the 9:30 a.m. Mass * Seasonal parties and festivities take place throughout the year for the children and their families.

 

Julie Westervelt, the Director, attended St. Bartholomew School as a child, and received her First Holy Communion at St. Bartholomew's. Over the years she has established a strong sense of commitment to the parish, its community, and its music ministry.Julie holds a Bachelor's Degree, teaches music and piano, has extensive experience as Director, Vocalist and Pianist,and has studied and performed contemporary, classical and liturgical music for more than 35 years.
