BLANKETS FOR HOMELESS CHILDREN
Our Community Group is initiating the Blanket Program again for Christmas 2007. These blankets will be delivered to the Mary McLeod Bethune Transitional Center. We have teamed up with The Crochet Guild of Long Beach, some beautifully talented women who are involved in their own charity work.
They meet every second Sunday of the month, from 1-3pm, at the Market Place behind Trader Joe’s, and will be available to help anyone who would enjoy learning how to crochet or needs help with a blanket.

We are looking for new blankets that are no smaller than a single size—48x60, or 48x80, made of worsted acrylic (if crocheted or knitted). We have received a monetary donation for yarn, if anyone is interested.
